Terms and Conditions

1) The Client is solely responsible for any and all harm or damage caused by their pet(s) while it is under the care of TGIF by GFI, and agrees to indemnify TGIF by GFI in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties or property(ies).

 

2) The Client agrees that, in admitting their pet(s), TGIF by GFI has relied on the Client’s representation that their pet(s) is (are) in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour toward any person or any other animal.

 

3)  The pet(s) will be subject to an initial assessment by TGIF by GFI’s Owner prior to using TGIF by GFI services.  TGIF by GFI reserves the right to refuse services to any pet(s) deemed in their absolute discretion to be, or have the potential to be, dangerous, sick, or disruptive.

 

4) The Client agrees to notify TGIF by GFI immediately of any unwelcome, aggressive, or dangerous behaviour of their pet(s) that has potential to cause harm to any other pet(s) or individual(s).

 

5) TGIF by GFI offers services where dogs co-mingle in groups.  The Client accepts that during the course of normal dog play, their dog(s) may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.

 

6) TGIF by GFI will only let dogs off leash if the Client has authorized it in writing (on the pet sitting questionnaire).  

 

7) The Client is fully responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their pet(s) receives (receive) while under the care of TGIF by GFI. The Client authorizes the Owner of TGIF by GFI to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary if they cannot get in touch with the pet(s)’ owner(s).  Where possible this will be carried out by the Client’s usual/preferred Vet, but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency), and the Client accepts that the Owner of TGIF by GFI may choose another Vet at their discretion. The Client also agrees to pay all such costs upon pick-up or drop-off of their pet(s).

 

8) TGIF by GFI reserves the right to refuse services if the Client fails to provide adequate proof of vaccinations, or the vaccinations are found to be expired. 

 

9) The Client will agree that the house has to be safe for TGIF by GFI to enter.

 

10) TGIF by GFI will not accept bitches in heat or while pregnant.  

 

11) The Client accepts that, even though their pet(s) is (are) vaccinated against Kennel Cough, there is a chance that their dog(s) can still contract the sickness.  The Client agrees that they will not hold TGIF by GFI responsible if their dog(s) contracts Kennel Cough while being under the care of TGIF by GFI.

 

12) The Client consents to their pet(s) being photographed, and/or used in any media or advertising by TGIF by GFI.

 

13) The Client agrees that TGIF by GFI is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leashes, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with their pet(s).

 

14) The Client agrees to ensure their dog(s) has not eaten in the hour before pick up/drop off to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play.  Failure to do so may result in potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).

 

15) The Client agrees to provide keys, keypad, and/or alarm code no later than 24 hours prior to the confirmed service.  Failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that service and will be paid in full by the Client.

 

16)  The Client agrees that, by signing the Key Holder Waiver Form, this will indemnify TGIF by GFI in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present and future circumstances.

 

17) Fifty percent of the pet sitting fee must be paid upfront (e-transfer or cash) to reserve the desired date. Should the Client cancel, the deposit will be reimbursed in full as long as TGIF by GFI is notified by 5:00 p.m., one week prior.  If not, TGIF by GFI will keep the deposit and apply it to the Client’s next desired service within the same calendar year.

 

18) The remainder of the service fee must be paid on the last day of the service period either via e-transfer or cash.

19) For privacy reasons, TGIF by GFI must be notified if there are any cameras in the Client’s home as well as their locations when there is an At-Home Service.

20) No variation of these Terms and Conditions will have effect unless confirmed by TGIF by GFI in writing.
