“I am over 100 years old in human years.  But you know what?  It does not matter.  The Lady and her sister still bring me to the park to see my friends… in a BIG wagon.  The younger sister pulled (because she is stronger), and the older sister (Lady) walked beside me to make sure that I did not fall over or jump out thinking that I can still run after squirrels.  I felt young again.”

“I don’t know if this should be here or not but, the other day, I got lost in a big dog park on a very hot day and this wonderful Lady gave me two huge bowls of water then posted my picture on Social Media… and the rest is history!”

“I always have so much fun when my human brings me to TGIF.  Once, we went to the beach.  The Lady had a little tent for me for shade, lots of blankets, she even brought a picnic basket for both of us.  Oh yes, and lots of toys.  The best part is that I was able to swim with her.  I even met a nice girl poodle.  She was on a big board with her human. Not sure what that was about! I didn’t want to go home!”

“Not sure what happened but at around 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning, my tummy started making weird noises.  I did not even have to tell the Lady.  Her motherly instincts kicked in, and she woke up instantly.  She brought me outside to do my business.  It was so funny.  I made her walk in the neighbourhood for about 30 minutes in her pj’s.  We saw rabbits, skunks, and raccoons too!  I did not want to go back inside at all.  I was having so much fun.  Oh yes, I did eventually do a very big poo!  I felt much better after that.  I even did the happy dance.  Thank you for your patience Lady.”

“It was my first time with TGIF, and I was a bit scared.  I tried to be brave but somehow, I accidentally let out a little whimper.  She immediately dropped everything she was doing, picked me up and showered me with kisses.  It tickled!  She pressed me against her heart, and we watched moving images on a big screen under a big fluffy blanket.  It was soooo nice.”

“I love TGIF. Once, I was a bit tired when we went for our routine walk, so the lovely Lady put me in her pack sack! It was so cool… I was taller than all the other dogs and walked faster too!”

“OMG!  There was a huge storm one night, and I was so scared.  But you know what?  The Lady made it all better.  She let me sleep in her big bed and I was even allowed to spoon with her.  BONUS!” 

“Although the Lady was very, very nice, I kept on missing home.  So, every day, she would drive me back to my house so I could guard it, like I usually did.  Then, a couple of hours later when I knew that I did a good job (guarding the house), we would go back to the Lady’s house for food, water, cuddles and a good night’s sleep.”

“I love weekends… I love TGIF…  I love the fact that I can bring ALL my toys over and the Lady does not complain.  She does not even lose any of them… amazing!”

I am a therapy dog.  At times, I just need to take a break from it all and when I do, Dad sends me to the Lady’s house for a few hours.  I get to take my gear off  and let my hair down. What a treat.  There is always soothing music playing in the background.  I get brushed, massaged and kissed all over.  I could spend days there…” 

“Sometimes, the Lady wouldn’t even watch her shows because I wasn’t done looking at my favourite cat videos!”

“The Lady must be a cat whisperer…  She always understands what I am asking for.  Why would I want to be anywhere else?”

“I am a man of a few words… She always came with food and cat grass.  What else does a man want? “

“I love the Lady so much that I constantly bring her gifts.  Once, it was a bat… in bed!  Although she appreciates all the presents, she prefers mice that do not fly.  Whatever!”

“The Lady is just one door down from me.  Isn’t that wonderful?  Sometimes, I swear she can hear me talk to her through my door.  When Mum goes away on trips, the Lady comes over every day, morning and night.  She brings me fresh catnip, we watch Netflix together and at times, I catch her sleeping on the couch beside me…”

“I have known the Lady for eight years now.  She used to travel to Cornwall to spend time with me and then, when Mum moved to Nova Scotia, the Lady took me to her house for a couple of months until Mum found a new home for us. She treated me like one of her own.  Thank you for the great memories.” 

“I am very lucky.  The Lady is my Mum’s daughter so I get to see her very often.  She is the one who named me as a matter of fact.  I was a little feral cat who followed a few squirrels in (what became) my Mum’s backyard on a very windy and cold day.  And the rest is history!” 

“I didn’t get to spend much time at the Lady’s house because I found a forever home very quickly.  But boy oh boy did I have fun while I was there.  I loved sneaking up on her and especially pulling pranks!  She never got mad!” 

“My Mum goes to Florida every year and when she does, I get to spend lots of time with the Lady.  We have so much fun.  Before tucking me in for the night, we always spend time on Mum’s rocking chair and she sings soft lullabies too!  Thank you very much Lady.  I don’t miss my Mum as much when you do things just like she does…”
